Our mission as the Pickaway Twp Fire Prevention Division is to lessen the risk involving loss of life, property, and damage to the environment by taking a proactive approach on public education. We will reduce the number of preventable incidents by providing training opportunities to ensure adequate safety education is available to those we serve. Our program will build a safer community, one building block at a time.
Request a Fire Safety Inspection
- You may request a fire and life safety inspection. We can only perform inspections in the townships we serve (Circleville and Pickaway township), unless we are requested by a department from another jurisdiction for an inspection that falls in their district.

File a Fire Safety Concern
- We can only investigate complaints in the townships in which we serve (Circleville and Pickaway township) unless we are requested by a department from another jurisdiction for a complaint in their district.

- Call into the station: This allows you to remain anonymous if you choose, or you can leave your contact information and after the complaint is investigated one of our Fire Safety Inspectors will reach out to you with a determined outcome. Note, please provide as much information as possible such as business name, address, date of complaint being noted and detailed description of complaint and where violation can be found in the facility.
Fire and Life Safety Education
The Pickaway Township Fire Department team is deeply invested in the emergency education of youth and the continuing preparation of adults. This public educational service is designed to teach residents the kinds of activities they can engage in and what they should stop doing in order to protect themselves, their families, and their properties from fires and other emergency situations.

Youth Fire Setter Program
Youth Fire-setting Intervention Specialists are a great option for educating your children on how devastating their fire play behaviors could be left uneducated. Often times children do not understand the dangers associated with fire. To be placed into this program the child’s legal guardian or a court order would have to place them into this program. Typically, this program will last 4-8 weeks, however that is all dependent on numerous factors.
This program WILL NOT:
- Instantly “cure” your child’s fire setting behavior.
- Scare your child into ceasing his or her behavior.
- Counsel your child to deal with mental health issues.

CPR Community Training
The Pickaway Township Fire Department team is deeply invested in our residents. We are pleased to announce we will be offering CPR training to our residing residents of Circleville and Pickaway Township. The training is through the American Heart Association (AHA).
